Peruvian sites among top 8 lost cities in the world

Three Peruvian archaeological sites -Machu Picchu (Cusco), Chan Chan (La Libertad) and Caral (Lima)- have been named among the top eight lost cities in the world, Peru's export and tourism promotion board Promperu has announced.

Cajamarca Carnival /February- March (Movable)	Province of Cajamarca, Cajamarca district and neighboring districts It's one of the most important celebrations in the area. All districts are prepared to perform at competitions dominated the music and dance. The Cajamarca people organized a parade and villagers accompany the King Momo, while patrols and group dance and sing at the same time brighten the streets. The nights are conducive to Crown Queens, see folk dances and try typical dishes and drinks. The celebrations of the Carnival of Cajamarca extends for a month, with eight Central days.
Fiesta de las Cruces (Crosses Party) / March - April	Province of Cajamarca, Porcorn village On Palm Sunday, central day of the Festival, are held four ceremonies: the coronation of the crosses, the greeting to the "Lord" in the House of the Butler (in charge of leading the celebrations every year), responsories sung in Quechua and Latin and Finally, the procession to the chapel in the village of Porcorn. In this procession marching more than fifty crosses about 60 kg. weight each, the same which are adorned with pictures and mirrors.

Fongal Fair of Cajamarca / July 24 - 31	Province of Cajamarca, Inca Baths District Exhibition and sale of agricultural, agro-industrial and handmade products among others. Also Peruvian Step Horse competitions and seafaring.
Lord of Huamantanga / September 23-25	Province of Jaen, District of Jaen Regional fair with religious, cultural and sporting activities.
